Tyre sizes

Lower variants usually have the smaller size. Check the sidewall of your current tyre to be sure.

Tyre care

  • Check pressure once a fortnight when the tyres are cold, before driving or after the car has been parked for 3 hours. Hot tyres read 3–4 psi higher.
  • Add a few psi for a full load or a long highway trip, and remember the spare.
  • Rotate tyres every 10,000 km and get wheel alignment checked if the steering pulls to one side.
  • Replace tyres when the tread is down to 1.6 mm, when the wear bars are level with the tread, or after about 5–6 years whatever the tread.
  • Prototype: sizes and pressures are sample figures. The sticker on the driver's door frame and the owner's manual are the final word.
